My son and I had never taken our bikes on vacation by plane. So we got some boxes and advice from our friends at Bicycle Garage Indy and booked a trip this past March. When we got to Las Vegas we discovered security had opened the boxes and didn’t pack them very well so when we got to our hotel we stayed up past midnight to reassemble them – fortunately no damage. We drove to Death Valley where our trip highlight was a 50 mile round trip from Texas Springs Campground to Dante’s View (elev. 5,704’) overlooking the lowest point in the western hemisphere Bad Water (elev. -279’). It was the hardest 25 miles ever followed by the fastest 25 miles ever.
Joe: Sounds like you and your son had a great trip, and we hope you share many more! Thanks from everyone at Bicycle Garage Indy for sharing Your Bicycle Picture and story.
