I work as a Foundation Director for our small community hospital (town of 3000) and we started an "Exercise Rushville" program a few years ago to promote healthy lifestyles. This year we added cycling as one of our programs offered and I got the bug! I bought a hybrid and within a month knew I had to have a Scott road bike. I went from thinking I would do some short 5 mile rides on weekends to riding with a group where we go 60+ miles on Saturdays and 20-30 mi rides 2 or 3 evenings throughout the week. I’ve had lots of back problems from umpiring over the years and riding has really helped! I’ve always been athletic but at 55 it’s harder to do some of the sports I used to but cycling has become my new love. It’s a great sport for any age. Our group is going on a New Year’s Day ride to kick off 2012. We are looking forward to seeing how many miles we can rack up this year! I’m riding indoors this winter but outdoors is much more enjoyable so I’m looking forward to Spring.
My son lives in Fishers and he took me to Bicycle Garage Indy one weekend and now I can’t come to Indy without stopping in. I’ve purchased a lot of gear each time I stop and I love talking to your staff. I just called to order a new helmet with a BGI gift card I got for Christmas. I’m really looking forward to seeing your new store when it’s finished! Thanks, Bicycle Garage Indy for offering such a great selection!
